Sustainability is at the
of everything we do.
Why is it important?
We believe that equipping children with a love of the environment and an understanding of how to look after it is crucial in education. At Edwalton, we view sustainability as something that should be thought of as a way of life, enabling children to become responsible global citizens.
We believe that caring for the environment and sustainability should be embedded in a dynamic, creative curriculum, with the real-life implications being utilised in reading, writing and Maths.
How can we help you?
Edwalton Primary School can offer creative packages to visiting nurseries, playgroups and primary schools to enjoy hands-on learning experiences. We can provide a range of activities for children of all ages from mainstream and special schools. We can organise creative writing workshops, art, science and sustainability trails, plus hands-on work relating to themes within Literacy, Numeracy and Science.
Last year, Mr. Owens constructed an enclosure to protect the children from dangerous lions, tigers and leopards - they had such fun and excitement!
