FS and KS1 Theatre Trip – Flat Stanley
I accompanied the Foundation Stage and KS1 Theatre Trip to the University Lakeside
Theatre yesterday to see Flat Stanley. The trip organised by Mrs Mullen went extremely
well and all the children loved the performance. Indeed it was a super, energetic afternoon
and many thanks must go to all the children for their good behaviour, sense of humour and
constant conversations. Thank you also to staff and parent helpers for their support.
KS1/KS2 Choirs and Recorders visits
This term we have been very busy with lots of singing and playing in the community at
Abbey Road and Hilton Crescent coffee mornings, the local nurseries and other school
events. They have shown lots of enthusiasm and passion for sharing their talents with the
local community and have enjoyed all the different environments. Thank you to all the
children and parents for their help in these events. A special thanks goes to Helen Plastow,
John Webb and Alison Hanson for their continual support throughout the term with the
music.

Spanish Student
A few weeks ago we wrote a request in the newsletter to ask for any possible families who would like to host a student for a
week from the 10th January to early February. We have already had two people kindly offer to have Carlos Crespo for two individual weeks, for which we are very grateful. It is a lovely opportunity for the children to spend practicing their Spanish and questioning the similarities and differences in our cultures as he spends four weeks with us. If you are able to help then either Hannah Teasdale or Katie Allen would be happy to hear from you. Thanks.
